I found out another girl at work is pregnant, and due on our anniversary, August 2nd. I'm excited for her. I'd been suspecting that she was and she wanted to tell me before but when she came by my room to talk (2 times by the way) I wasn't there! We are 1 week and 1 day apart. I also found out she had a miscarriage the summer before mine and it took her 11 months to get pregnant again. The more I talk to people about what I've been through, the more I learn that so many of us share this struggle.
I've gotten few comments about how good I look for being 17 weeks pregnant...we'll they can keep on coming LOL! I think most of it is the fact that I am taller so the fat/baby has more room to spread out instead of being squashed in a tiny torso. I am feeling pretty good this week. I'm not quite as tired, although my energy level isn't totally up there. I even bought a Prenatal Yoga DVD so I can start working out again (please notice I have only purchased it, actually working out has yet to occur).
How far along?: 17 weeks
How big is baby?: the size of an onion, 5 inches long, weighs about 6 ounces
Weight gain?: 8 lbs
Stretch marks?: no stretch marks yet but my belly itches so I think I need to start putting lotion on it everyday
Maternity clothes?: I am starting to need to wear the shirts, especially for the length
Sleep?: I sleep on my side, usually my left, with the help of a body pillow
Best moment this week?: Doug watching Teen Mom on his own and then coming back to me and explain how he now knows how to change diapers from watching the show. "You have to put the new diaper underneath BEFORE you take the old one off." You just had to hear him explain it, he was super adorable.
Food cravings?: Back to ice cream. This week's flavor is Edy's Double Fudge Brownie. It's a little kinder to the pocketbook than Ben and Jerry's
Gender?: We'll know in 3 weeks
Movement?: I feel more now...mostly taps, I'm excited to feel kicks soon
Belly button?: still normal
What I miss?: This week I miss lunch meat. I don't care what anyone says, it's not the same heated up.
