33 Week Update

How far along?: 33 weeks 4 days

How big is baby?: 4 lbs--the weight of a pineapple, 17 inches
Weight gain?: 23 lbs
Stretch marks?: just the light one on my hip
Maternity clothes?: yeah, and now I may need maternity shoes with the swelling in my feet and hands. I've been wearing flip flops to work--usually a no no, but since I am pregnant and its hot I can get away with it. I couldn't get my wedding ring back on after my shower this morning :( I will not complain though because I know other pregnant women much worse off than me, at least my swelling goes down when I actually give myself time to rest.
Sleep?: I slept for 11 hours straight Saturday night into Sunday!! I believe that was my recovery from 2 showers in two days! I felt bad missing church the day after my shower was held there :( This week has been busy with school, including NHS induction and tutoring every afternoon, so I haven't slept as well. I have weird...and I mean really strange...dreams sometimes. Othertimes I wake up with leg cramps
Best moment this week?: Well it's hard to pick one. The top would have to be my shower on Saturday. I didn't have my camera, so this is the only picture I have right now of the actual shower.

Here's what it looked like when we got all the presents home and into my living room:

Food cravings?: Honestly with all the leftovers from my shower, there has not been any room for cravings...but I am truly enjoying the cake :)
Gender?: Well he better still be a boy since he has a ton of cute clothes now!
Movement?: W.O.W!! I cannot believe how strong he is. On top of that I think he has repositioned himself a little lower, which make everything feel a little bit strange.
Belly button?: Still got it :)
What I miss?:
Bending over without my belly in the way. It just make everything I am trying to do to prepare for him that much more difficult from bending over to get laundry out of the washed and dryer to reaching for gifts at my shower to making his bed. So over the belly!
Odds and ends:
My sister and my housemate got him the bedding set and my mom got him his sheets, so I made his bed on Sunday. I also put together his bassinet--I forgot to get a picture of that, but it will be in here later when I actually put up pictures of the finished nursery.

Target really did a poor job updating my registry and I got double of $150 worth of gifts. This ended up ok because I took the gifts back and got a gift card. The stroller I wanted was on sale (which ended the same night as my shower--so I had to act fast). I used my giftcard and the money other relatives gave to pay for the stroller. If you have AAA Target.com gives you 10% off, so I combined that with the sale. I paid about $270 (that includes taxes) for a travel system that's usually $329 (before taxes). When it arrived on Thursday I was so excited that I put it together right away! Now if the little guy decides to make an early appearance we have a way to get him home!!

Check out this giraffe my new NHS president made for our boy! She gave it to me this morning in tutorial. She crocheted it without a pattern! What a sweetheart!!
