Here' s and additional picture from my shower (stolen from Amy's facebook). The delicious cake :)
I took the picture at work this time. FYI you can tell by whether or not I am wearing my glasses and my hairstyle. Hair down and no glasses= feeling good. Hair up and glasses= not a great day. I took this one on Wednesday (34 weeks 2 days) which happened to be the last day of classes. My feet were very swollen and sore that day. I ended up sitting in my chair most of the day (which is not great for classroom management--but right now I let myself be a priority).
How far along?: 34 weeks
How big is baby?: approximately 4.75 lbs, 18 inches long. About the size of a honeydew melon.
Weight gain?: 25 lbs, taking comfort in the fact that he is just about 5 lbs and the placenta weight 2 lbs... 18 lbs is not too much to lose otherwise, right?
Stretch marks?: So last week I admit, I admired my practically stretch mark free belly, which means of course this week I found 2 sets of marks on the underside of my belly. Not bad getting to 34 weeks without them I spose. Last Thursday night I was very uncomfortable and I woke up feeling like he was in a different lower position. That day at work the Home-Ec teacher told me I better have my bag packed because it looked like I dropped. I blame the stretch marks on his new position.
Maternity clothes?: Had to buy a pair of maternity shorts last week. I was going to try to make it through with my gym shorts, but the elastic felt uncomfortable.

Sleep?: waking up a bit earlier in the morning, and still waking up between 3 and 4 to get into a more comfortable position
Best moment this week?: I taught Doug how to change a diaper on Wednesday (I think), because he wants to be prepared. Three people have told me this week that I don't look like I am due so soon (YAY). One woman even said she was as big as me at three months. Really I'm not that vein but when you feel this huge it's nice to be told you look small. (I know some women freak out about being told they looks small- but my measurements are perfect so it doesn't bother me). I also had a random stranger in line at Sam's tell me I must be having a boy because I look just like she did when she was pregnat with her son. My thank you cards for the first shower are finished, but that was the small one. Many more to go, thank goodness the last day of work is Tuesday!
Food cravings?: I was actually craving McDonald's today.
Gender?: like I said before he better stay a boy because we have too many boy clothes and his name picked out. Although a student made me realize this week that we are naming him after trees...well I am cloth diapering, trying to go natural, and breastfeeding, perhaps I should just embrace my inner tree hugger.
Movement?: I'm pretty sure he's doing push ups in there sometimes, truly his father's son
Belly button?: Shallower but there.
What I miss?: this week I miss coffee, but I've had a couple dizzy spells--Sunday and yesterday (while I was giving a final), so I won't even let myself think about it. I also miss people assuming I can take care of myself. LOL, I've never received so much advice about what I am capable or not capable of doing!
